Newport-Pier-Sunset.For those who have known me a long time–clients, friends, colleagues, and family alike–you know that I've been like a little hermit crab, trying to find my permanent professional home since I left the wellness center that I helped start in 2004.  I am currently in an executive suite in a high rise office building.  It has a wonderful view of the Back Bay, John Wayne Airport, and the San Bernardino mountains which are covered in snow in winter.

But things change.  I will spare you the details, but it was my intern Liz Dube who woke me up, saying, "I will pound the sidewalk to find you a better space!"  The building has been difficult for people to get into after hours, and some have complained that they have to face an elevator man every time they come for an appointment.

I found that better space just three blocks from my present location.  Ironically, it is on Dove St., a place I have fondly referred to as "therapist gulch."  Several buildings on the street are filled with suites of therapist offices.  Why?  Maybe because they are older atrium buildings that are easy to access, with free parking, in a central location.

The office itself is a small suite, with three offices, a waiting area, and (hurray) a storage area.  There is room to expand, and ways to make the space in which we do therapy more personal and comfortable.

I think those who visit The Buehler Institute regularly will like the change.  So take note, on June 28, 2013 we are moving from MacArthur Blvd. three blocks away, to 1601 Dove St. in beautiful Newort Beach, CA.  Wish us luck!
