I think I represented my sex therapy profession well in a recent project I completed in collaboration with Scientific American. Several months ago I was approached by a textbook author to be featured in Scientific American’s Psychology textbook to talk about my career as a sex therapist. Being an educator myself, I readily agreed. A few months after the interview, the author approached me again. Would I be willing to talk about sex therapy in a video?
Why, yes! Yes, I would.
Well, I know from experience that these things don’t always turn out well. There are a few things I’ve worked on that are better off left unseen (episodes of “Manswers” for example, that will probably be on rerun for eternity), but this isn’t one of them. The textbook has a fun layout with lots of sidebars and photos, and the video is very well done. I couldn’t be happier with the result.
