11898102_max Last week I moved into my new office in Newport Beach, CA.  Located on MacArthur Blvd. and Jamboree Road, it's a peaceful location with fantastic views that include a bit of the back bay and jets taking off from John Wayne Airport.

My new office is larger than my former office, allowing me to configure the furniture so that clients don't have to look at my work area.  If this past week is any indication, I found that my clients were more focused without being reminded that I do, indeed, have other work to do.  Assured that I am equally focused on their well-being, clients were able to relax and do more of the therapeutic work they came to accomplish.

Why come see me if there are other sex therapists in Newport Beach?  As far as my research can tell me, I am the only one who holds a doctorate and is a licensed psychologist–the highest level of education and training that a psychotherapist can receive.  I am also qualified to supervise psychotherapists seeking certification as sex therapists, and in March I will qualify for diplomate status.  I am a reviewer for the Journal of Sexual Medicine, published by the International Society of Sexual Medicine, and the Western Regional Representative of the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.  Aside from my credentials, my clients also tell me that I am warm and easy to talk to, something no number of degrees can teach you.

I am happy to make Newport Beach my new Orange County, CA home.  In addition to sex therapy, I will soon provide continuing education opportunities for sex therapists and educators.  Newport Beach has strong name recognition and is central to Orange County, as well as easy to get to from nearly all points around Southern California.
